What You Should Know about Pranic Healing

In Eastern medicine, massage is a tool that is used to help heal the body. One healing technique, Prana, helps the body to heal itself. Here is more information about pranic healing.

What is pranic healing? It is a complementary therapy that proponents say has brought comfort to many who have not found success with traditional medicine. The techniques can be learned by anyone who wants to help their body to heal. It is based on the fact that the body can repair itself and will do so when the flow of energy around and through it is restored.

It was developed by a man named Choa Kok Sui.  He contends that the body wants to heal itself when it is injured. His technique helps the body to do just that. By realigning the energy flow, the body can then use that energy to return to a state of equilibrium.

We all have a life force energy called prana or chi. This energy flows around and through our body unobstructed when we are well. The system of pranic healing is a no-touch healing process. The healing affects changes in the chi trough the aura or bio-electromagnetic field that surrounds the body. By helping this energy to increase in the affected portion of the body, healing begins on its own within.

For people who practice this type of alternative therapy, the aura is known to change whenever there are changes occurring within the body. Before you notice or feel that you are unwell, your aura will register it. In this way, pranic healing can work on this energy field and by extension the place where the energy is being blocked or disrupted. This works because the life energy or chi flows around and through the body.

Pranic healing can be done by anyone. If you take the time to take the courses, you can learn to heal others and heal yourself. Even a headache or the common cold symptoms can be alleviated with pranic healing.

Many doctors are offering pranic healing in their practices as a complementary therapy. It is used as a part of a larger health regimen that includes traditional methods of healing to help a patient return to full health. People have reported satisfactory relief from pain and other conditions that were not being achieved through medicines alone.

A person undergoing pranic healing will be fully clothed. They don’t have to say or do anything other than describe their pain and the location. The healer will use their hands moving in different directions around the body to change the aura around the person. No touching is ever done.

Interested in Transcendental Meditation? Here are the basics

Transcendental meditation was introduced in 1955 in India. It is a form of mantra meditation where the person practicing it repeats words, syllables, sounds or groups of words. The goal is to “create transformation” in the person’s life.

Started by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, transcendental meditation is considered to be the most easily recognizable and widely practiced method of meditation. The technique can be completed in as little as 20 minutes, twice a day. During the 1960s and 1970s this method of meditation became very popular with as many as a million people learning to practice it.

Many people still practice transcendental meditation on a daily basis because they enjoy the benefits. They claim the mind and body learn to relax and rest. People practicing it also find stress and fatigue being released naturally rather than depending upon medicines to help them relax. They also say they have more energy, clarity of thought, and enjoy life more than before they began practicing it.

If you’re interested in learning transcendental meditation, you may be concerned about how long it will take you. There are organizations which still teach it claiming the process is easily learned. Classes are offered and generally take four days, lasting a couple of hours each day. After you learn the basics you don’t have to join the organization; you can continue to practice this method of meditation on your own or with others. Check out the official Transcendental Meditation Website here.

What does transcendental meditation look like? Basically you’ll sit in a comfortable position with your eyes closed. You may have seen people sitting in the yoga pose known as the lotus with legs crossed, hands pointing up, and fingers touching. While you may use this position to meditate, it is by no means required.

The important thing about this meditation method is for you to be comfortable and silent. It’s something you can do anywhere you have time and can close out the noises surrounding you. Some people have actually used their commute time on a train to meditate to help them be more prepared for the day ahead.

What are the benefits of transcendental meditation? Studies have been conducted for years concerning the claims of transcendental meditation. So far the studies have shown that there is a real, positive link between this technique and improved health. Some of the benefits include improved lung capacity among asthmatics, reduced high blood pressure, the ability to reduce or give up smoking and alcohol use, and less problems with insomnia.

Unlike some methods of meditation, this form does not require a particular belief system or any belief system at all. It is a natural way to relax and rejuvenate. If you do have a strong belief system, you can incorporate it with transcendental meditation without any problems.

Who doesn’t want to feel better, sleep more restfully, have more energy, and have improved health? After reading of these and other benefits, you can see why transcendental meditation is still popular.

Oh My God! A film by Peter Rodger

In every corner of the world, there’s one question that can never be definitively answered, yet stirs up equal parts passion, curiosity, self-reflection and often wild imagination: “What is God?” Filmmaker Peter Rodger explores this profound, age-old query in the provocative non-fiction feature Oh My God

This visual odyssey travels the globe with a revealing lens examining the idea of God through the minds and eyes of various religions and cultures, everyday people, spiritual leaders and celebrities. His goal: to give the viewer the personal, visceral experience of some kind of reasonable, meaningful definition of one of the most used—some might say overused—words in most every language.

Wayne Dyer - The Shift
Buy now & you’ll receive a 2-hour downloadable lecture by Wayne Dyer FREE!
Plus, save up to 45% on book bundle packages!

All of us on this glorious human voyage into adulthood have to make some shifts, or transitions, during
the trip. Hopefully, we will go beyond the first two mandatory ones (from Spirit to form and from form to ego-driven ambition)
and move on to those shifts in consciousness that lead to a life filled with purpose.

The Shift
—a companion book to the movie of the same name—illustrates how and why to make the move from ambition to meaning.Such a shift eliminates our feelings of separateness, illuminates our spiritual connectedness, and involves moving from the ego-directed morning into the afternoon of life where everything is primarily influenced by purpose.

As we contemplate leaving the morning of our life, where ego has played a commanding role, and entering the afternoon (and evening), where meaning and
purpose replace ambition and struggle, we may encounter unexpected occurrences that accompany this new direction. It’s almost a universal law that we’ll
experience a fall of some kind. Yet these falls or low points provide the energy we need to move away from ego and into a life of meaning and purpose.

Watch the Video

The Shift
doesn’t mean that we lose our drive and ambition; it signifies that we become ambitious about something new. We make a commitment
to living a life based on experiencing meaning and feeling purposeful, rather than never-ending demands and false promises that are the trademark of the
ego’s agenda.

We can fulfill our greatest calling when we consciously undertake the journey From Ambition To Meaning. We can transform our
individual lives and, as an additional bonus, influence the destiny of our sacred planet as well.

Samadhi

Are you a fan of meditation and all things transcendental? Then you might be interested in learning more about the process of achieving Samadhi.

Samadhi is a type of meditation state that is a tenet of many kinds of yoga practices. In eastern religions like Buddhism and Hinduism, it is a state of consciousness that is above most others and hard to reach.

Meditation is used to help you focus on a single thing. If you are meditating to free your mind of negative thought, then your focus will be positive energy. In yoga, meditation is one way of bridging the gap between the mind and the body. You concentrate on your breathing and also how your body feels to better control it.

Samadhi is a state of spiritual consciousness where the focus is so complete you feel like you are on another plane entirely. You are moving in a separate realm of consciousness from the one that we currently exist in.

There are different levels of Samadhi that can be reached through meditation and practice. The lowest level is Savikalpa Samadhi. Here, you can achieve a transcendental state where you are no longer on the human plane of consciousness. Those who have experienced it are aware of a shift in space and time.

In this meditative state, a person can see who they are and who they are supposed to be with clarity. You are aware of things that don’t penetrate the mind in the human body. After the meditation period is over, you are aware of yourself again and return to normal human consciousness.

The next level is Nirvikalpa Samadhi. In this state you can be freed from your mind. You hear things all around you but they don’t bother or affect you. In Nirvikalpa, your goal is to become one with your soul.

Some describe it as the mind as we know it melting away so that all you see and feel is peace wherever you are. The perception of things is different because you have been released from the confines of conventional human thinking. You are hitting on deeper levels of meditation, much like a self-induced trance.

Because of the joy of this state, returning to a normal human consciousness takes some time. Instead of waking and immediately knowing who you are and where you are like in Savikalpa, it takes a bit of time to settle back into your human state.

Many spiritual masters strive to achieve this state, and do. But there is one even higher called Sahaja Samadhi. Here, you are so above things here that sometimes, the consciousness of the person doesn’t return to the body but remains on that highest of planes. It is thought to reflect being with God.

Samadhi is a high state of consciousness achieved through spiritual practice and meditation. It is a practice of Indian and other eastern religions.
